Vacation Adventures!

Currently, I am sitting in a hotel room, waiting for my family to wake up so we can go to Wax Works here in Newport. I'm using free Wi-Fi that absoultuely sucks.

Anyhoo, I'm on the annual vacation with my family! We began our trek last Monday in Elk Lake. We stayed in a very comfy yet tiny cabin and had our dog tethered outside. That first night was slightly boring but we just relaxed and enjoyed each others company.

Second day, we woke up one by one. Mom at maybe....8 am? Dad at 9? Ethan 10:30? Me 11. I'm always last because I can sleep more than any cursed princess ( I hope you got that joke....if you didn't, hahaha @ you.). Anyways, after I got up, I went to the marina with my dad, Ethan, and Stitch. Stitch started prancing around the lake like the carefree retard he is and we just stood and watched him. After he was done, he took a HUGE poop two steps from the lake. If that little piece of information didn't ruin your day, nothing will. So, we went back to our cabin, got mom and drove to Todd Lake. Now, I assumed we'd just be getting out of the car, looking at the lake, maybe letting Ethan and Stitch play a bit then leave. But, nahhhhh. We hiked to the lake and once we got there, we decided to hike ALL THE WAY AROUND THE LAKE. Through mudd and all kinds of crap. I have another day ruining story about poop, but I don't think my dad will allow me to write about it on here ^_^. The Todd Lake hike was totally worth it, though, because we went to Bend afterwards and shopped and had Chinese food.

Third day was my favorite. No hiking, no dog poop, no bees, just my family and I on a pontoon boat in the middle of the lake for four hours. Four hours of sun and I'm still pale like a ghoul. We took turns getting in the lake for minutes at a time, but none of us really swam. It was so relaxing, though, to just be out there not worrying about anything.

We left Elk Lake the next day, headed for grandma's house in Springfield. We stopped in Sisters to get a soda at Ray's Food Place. I got hit on by the kid bagging groceries, it was disgusting. We also stopped at Koosah Falls for awhile. Again, I thought this was a get-out-look-leave type thing, but it was another short hike. I liked it a lot though. The waterfall was so pretty and I just wanted to get out there and go down it like a waterslide. Stitch started drinking from the river and fell in, too. Luckily, dad was holding on to him so he didn't fall completely in. I told you my dog was stupid, didn't I? We got to grandma's shortly after that. I like grandma's house. Although grandma can be a bit of a pain in the butt at time, I love her. We spent the night there and left for the coast the next day.

So, here we are at the coast. My parents are finally waking up and I'm wanting to sleep more.

I apologize if my writing seems a bit sloppy, I'm not really caring too much how I word things right now. I'm tired and kind of sick.

But, anyways, that was our vacation for ya! I'm sure I left out a few details, but oh well!

:)

I agreed with you, Xan. I loved the lazy afternoon we spent on "potty boat" (remember what Ethan called it.) I also loved that we had to talk to each other instead of being distracted by tv, phone, internet...etc., etc. We'll do it again next year with Henry on board!
